COVID-19 - What you need to know

Here at Hangar O, we take the safety and well-being of our guests, and all who visit our property seriously. We are closely monitoring the respiratory illness outbreak caused by coronavirus (COVID-19) and carefully following Government issued advice.

Hangar O is open for Essential Travellers.

Following the recent government updates, in particular, the advice around non-essential travel, we have made some changes in order to look after ourselves and our guests.

HANGAR O remains open to provide essential travel to those in need. We care deeply about our guests and are focused on providing a safe space for those who need access to us.

Therefore, we have had to make the difficult decision to no longer accept bookings or arrivals for non-essential travel at this time. This has also meant that we have had to close our swimming pool.


Essential travel


It is our understanding that ‘essential travel’ includes travel that is related to:

• necessary activities for work purposes,

• essential accommodation while stopping at one location during a current road trip,

• travel on compassionate grounds and

• travel required to return to your place of residence.

For guests who are needing to stay with us over the coming weeks and months, we will be supporting and encouraging self-distancing and hygiene measures, so you and your travelling companion/s remain safe, and for the safety of others. This way, we will be in the best place to be able to reopen for leisure travel as soon as we are permitted.

Caravan Industry Association of Australia: "The Government has seen that workers, people who live within caravan parks, and also people who are travelling around Australia and cannot get back to their place of residence, are classed as essential travellers and are welcome at caravan parks."

Any guest who makes a new booking via will be able to change their booking/s up to 72 hours prior to arrival. Guests will have the option to change the date of their booking or accept a credit valid for up to 24-months.


We know that it's been a challenging start to 2020 for many, however we have been overwhelmed by the support that has been shown to us by our guests.
